Pranaya Rana is the Founding Editor of Kalam Digital and the writer of its flagship newsletter, Kalam Weekly. 
He was previously Chief Editor of The Record, Features and Op-Ed editor of The Kathmandu Post, and a reporter for Nepali Times. 
Pranaya also writes fiction and is the author of ‘City of Dreams: Stories,’ a 2015 collection of short stories.

As Chief Strategy Officer at Kalam Digital, Priyankana leads strategic direction and long-term growth across editorial and consulting verticals. With a background in communications, education, and development, she brings deep experience in positioning mission-driven initiatives at the intersection of media, equity, and impact.

She also contributes as a writer to Kalam, drawing on her expertise in sociopolitical analysis, inclusive storytelling, and digital strategy to make complex issues more accessible to broad audiences
